What do you like best about the product?
Once you're used to the setup of mixpanel and it's possibilities, it's a very powerful tool to generatre valuable insights about your product and its usage by your customers. It helps us every day to understand problems, to support decision making and prioritizing ressources.

What do you dislike about the product?
With some features (like cohorts) it's hard to keep a good overview if you're using it extensively. There is no possibnility to group chorts into projects or similar, it gets very messy after time. Some filters in the reports don't save reliably and I always have to adjust the report again, which is annoying.And I can't find a public roadmap or similar to know what changes or new features are coming next, would be great to have some insight here.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding our customers, features and our product in general. It supports our decision making and creates valuable insights. It helps allocating ressources and prioritizing.

What do you like best about the product?
The reports are so intuitive I can pull together insights in seconds. I also love the Lookup table functionality. It allows us to add to the data without needing to involve engineering. Often as I'm building a report, I will find I would like to tweak the data in some way - such as trimming down the language code. In the past, with other platforms, this would have required an engineering change to modify the event. But with lookup tables, I can supplement the data on my own, and it applies retroactively to all my data! Extremely powerful!

What do you dislike about the product?
We were really looking forward to being able to tie a users journey across the enrollment process to conversion into an MAU. Unfortunately, once we got to implementation it became apparent that Mixpanel's architecture assumes each device is only used by one user. Our platform supports multiple users per device. This has left us unable to track any of the automatic events and we've had to remove all unauthenticated events. Mixpanel is attempting to work with us to find an alternative solution but we havent reached one yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We came from using Google Analytics and Firebase - or I should say we supported those applications but they were so ineffective that no one on our team used them. With Mixpanel we're able to answer the questions about our users and how they are interacting with our app; which devices types are they using, which features they are using, etc. Its given us a view into how what we're building is being used and its set us on the path towards being able to tie that back to the overall company objectives.

Boards on Mixpanel are an invaluable view/tool for me. They keep essential product metrics front and center, allowing me to conveniently access acquisition and retention reports. By monitoring the interactions of our top OneTap users, I can gain valuable insights and make informed decisions.

When it comes to analytics tools, Mixpanel truly stands in a league of its own. I haven't come across any other tool that even comes close to offering the same level of functionality and insights. Mixpanel is simply unparalleled.

The feature of Mixpanel is straightforward to understand a lot of data points. It helps us track our user activity daily, find insights, make reports and support our leader level to make the best decision. What do you like best about the product?
the experience: easy to use, tooltips are helpful, the knowledgebase is fantastic,responsive community, and Mixpanel curses are great the value: Mixpanel allows us to make data-driven decisions, know instead of speculate or assets. it allow us to measure ourselves and improve accordingly the customization : data collection is reliable and covers all that we need, based on our needs. we can also edit, change and adjust events and properties on the code level but also with Mixpanel UI, meaning the Mixpanel environment grows and develops side by side with our product.

1. unknown unknown - hard to examine flow of events to understand users behavior. it's easier to analyze conversion rates of pre-defined events 2. it's tough for us to understand when users get value from our platform - what event is a monovalent sign of success 3. measuring time spent 4. ad blockers interfering with data collection 5. integration with Salesforce/Google sheet 6. onboarding new people in the company - very hard to make people use, and generally understand how to use independently (it requires understanding Mixpanel UI, but also understanding the way our events are called and tracked). .

Mixpanel is updating how the product looks not what the product offers, no new things in graph types or reporting types, even the new AI module it takes too much time comparing with other competitors.

I am a power bi user for almost 5 five year till now, I thought power bi was the easiest tool ever, then I tried Mixpanel, with Mixpanel it was my first time to get introduced to event data and attributes, and actually Mixpanel made it easy to me to learn fast and manipulate the data much faster to get whatever insights I need.

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel has a very extensive documentation and it's easy to learn about the tool and guide the software team, even with little technical background. The usage of the tool is also quite intuitive, making it easy to analyze the data and build dashboards and insightful reports. Retention analysis and conversion funnels are also few clicks away.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a problem from Mixpanel, but it does require your own product's knowledge to be able to set it up correctly, as well as understanding when each event should be registered. Mixpanel guide has all the information necessary on that, but applying this might be tricky depending on the software.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel is really allowing us to get to know how our users move throughout our products, understanding key features, issues that arise, and that makes it very easy to focus our energy and attention on improving existing features and fixing bugs quicker,

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Mixpanel: Easy learning curve. Most of our collaborators can find data insights without a line of code, contributing to data democratization in our company. Also, Mixpanel has an excellent support team, always available to help with any issue.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's only one thing I'm struggling with in Mixpanel: The API call to edit properties information as a batch. Right now, it just allows updating properties through an API call by updating an event linked to that property, so we had to create a "global" event that includes all the properties to do that. The other option was to update them manually or upload a CSV.

Mixpanel allows you to easily visualize events triggered by the users while using an app or website, and analyze their behavior based on the properties tagged for each event. It's beneficial to support business-oriented decisions.

You can track the events almost in real time fired from your application/product when the user interacts. It has excellent reports and a way of representing data. Another great thing is that you can create a funnel and track user engagement or other important factors when users use your application.

It can get a little complicated to use for someone who is new to mix panel. It has plethora of features which can get overwhelming. Also more support documents/materials should be provided so that the user can learn faster. Can be quite expensive

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is very intuitive in its way of showing you how to build a report from scratch. Mixpanel is a powerfull BI tool, and also looking good from a esthetical point of view.

What do you dislike about the product?
There ins't really much I dislike in Mixpannel to be honest, maybe bcause I did not build many reports myself and I'm more a huge consumer of reports built from others. The only thing that comes to my mind is the way of saying a report which needs to be duplicated otheriwse you do modify the "public one".

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mixpanel gathers data which are super helpful when it comes to tak the right decisions, at different levels: why to prioritize a feature more than another, or why to send this email to a customer, or at whihc point we stand from a usage point of you, etc.

Using other tools before it took me ages to build up a dashboard about all nescesary metrics. With mixpanel I create a dashboard in minutes. Especially the funnels and aggregation of data is awesome and otherwise a complex topic, but not with mixpanel. Get a chart with Weekly active users with a single click. Awesome

What do you dislike about the product?
Using mixpanel in a bigger company with every other app sending a lot of events it sometimes gets messy to find the events you are looking for. Maybe it's a configuration issue on my end but IMO events could be sorted better.

We want to see if our users and how many are adopting new features we develop. We can also track the journey a user takes trough our product. Also we use it to identify single users for a interview.

The best part is the handiness of the product. It really takes a couple of clicks to analyse anything you want. Customise whatever you want and make it available with just one click.

With ease of use comes the price for less accurate data or analysis of complex data. It is limited to certain aspects, when doing a complex analysis you would need a different tool.

It has been hugely helpful in motivating how users not only utilize the platform, but where they get stuck and where we should focus more or less. It has helped us to cut off features that people were tied to, but didn't generate the necessary outcomes for the business. Overall, this has been one of the best tools I have used thus far, can only recommend.

At times it was a bit confusing to use and I have a background in Business Intelligence analytics, also I felt like they could have provided more information on how to assemble events for best results.

What do you like best about the product?
Two things stood out with Mixpanel for us - how easy it was to set up and start sending events from our application into it. And then how good the web ui tools were and how easy it was to build dashboards and graphs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much to dislike. I've used a wide variety of other web and app analytics tools before, Mixpanel is my favorite. One complaint - wish there was an easier way to export and email entire dashboards on a regular basis.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lets us undestand fine grained usage of our application, lets us quickly and easily build both standing dashboards and ad hoc queries to dig into the details. We use and share Mixpanel dashboards across the team at almost every meeting.

What do you like best about the product?
Dashboards: they are pretty nice, and you can get what you want visually in a few clicks. They could be even better when sometimes you need an advanced mode with SQL-like query. Custom Events: very convenient to reshape your data without capturing new events and simplify analysis. API: I think the simplicity of tracking with the API is lovely. Put anything, and it's supported. I like it a lot. Support: the team behind the support always gave me the correct answer, and they are really nice people. Cohorts: I wish I could create more cohorts (free plan), but at least the cohorts automatically created for me are perfect for deep analysis We used multiple analytics platforms, and this is the one that I like to watch how our product is used on a daily basis.

What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model: it lacks progressivity in the pricing model, from Free to Paid. The gap is just too huge for a small company like ours.

What do you like best about the product?
The detailed information it provides includes geographic location, type of device used, most visited pages, statistics and graphs, and other details that have allowed us to track our website more accurately. No major drawbacks, however, would be nice-to-have auto-generated reports based on customized events which can give an immediate picture of the data in question.

Learning the data trends and understanding the conversion flows via the funnel reports are heavily used for analysis. The date range feature for each event gives an bird eye view as well as helps drill down the data on an hourly basis to help make an informed discussion.

What do you like best about the product?
Because of its easy-to-use interface and eye-catching visualisations, I love Mixpanel. They are easy to create and allow me to quickly uncover interesting insights about our customers - giving us the opportunity to grow! As a data scientist, I particularly appreciate their raw export API as it makes it easy to manipulate using SQL Lite, which also makes more complex analysis easier. Furthermore, but non-technical stakeholders can also get involved in reviewing reports because the platform is so easy to use - you really don't need advanced analytics skills, just some understanding.

I do not like the fact that mastering MixPanel requires diligence and time to become familiar with its details. While it is a powerful tool, it can be challenging to fully master its intricate specifics, as each organisation's needs require a different approach. When attempting to understand certain behaviours or address specific issues, one should always review the events previously entered into MixPanel for best results.

We got lots of help to analyze and visualize data. The way it charges is also favorable for me. Earlier with Amplitude, they charged in proportional to data points. That's why we migrated from Amplitude.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far, so good. Nothing particularily bothers me. Hopefully, the tool could be extended to attribution tracking for web and app.

Earlier, we needed to bring developers to analyze data all the time. It takes time and effort to do so. Now, most of the works are done without needing to ask for dev's help. Devs are also benefited from data visualization. Not only data extraction, its visualization was also costly.

What do you like best about the product?
Mixpanel is so easy to use and set up. The reports are geared for easy building and date range comparisons, allowing us to keep all our reporting in the platform instead of exporting the data. Dashboards are a breeze and super easy to customize for non-Mixpanel experts in our organization to make the most of the tool. Custom properties and events also allow us to clean up our data without involving our engineering team, freeing up time for them as well.

I'd love to see the ability to use revenue as a KPI more. Although you can sum properties on your events, that ability is limited to a specific report type and you can't use this tool in funnels.

The most beneficial aspect of Mixpanel was the simple setup and intelligent dashboard. The obvious upside of the software is that you can track multiple campaigns, regardless of organic, paid, social, email, etc. Our CFO also appreciated that the cost was in line with a small startup.

Although the dashboard provides a breakout of organic versus paid leads over time, the out-of-the-box data wasn't as helpful. In order to pull the most significant value out of Mixpanel, your administrator must take time to organize tracking.

Before Mixpanel, it was difficult for us to track mobile analytics for an attractive rate for both our iOS and Android mobile applications. For those who are comfortable with Google Analytics: give Mixpanel a try! The most complete tool I've ever used. The possibilities are infinite. Here in the company, we are migrating from Google Analytics and all its chains to the greatness and freedom of Mixpanel. The fact of viewing data in almost realtime is fantastic. The variety of visions you can create is massive compared to others.

I would love to have vertical chart bars; Mixpanel is only limited to horizontal ones, which doesn't cover all cases or makes a vision harder. I also would like to be able to get data using SQL; nowadays, Mixpanel has JQL, which is excellent but has a difficult learning curve for those familiar with SQL.

The tool was really easy to implement, everyone in the company can do his own boards and reports. In a few seconds I can check how my users use my product. The 4 types of report are easy to understand even if I would say that the retention report is a bit harder to understand than the others.

Last time I checked the documentation, I can't remember why, but the documentation was not up to date, so it was not as usefull as it could have been. I like the custom report creation to build a dashboard of your choice. It is much easier to drill down into specific campaigns or sources and hide others in Mixpanel compared to other analytics software I've used.

The coolest thing in Mixpanel is the customisable dashboards. Depending on what I want to track (specific cohorts, products, regions etc) I create new dashborads. Then it takes no time to pull out the reports that I need and share it with others.

There is plenty of room to improve. The "copy and sync" feature could really use an update or two to have versatile functions. Funnels could use an improvement, for example, in a A-B-C funnel, making two breakdowns to have A-C and A-B-C funnels to view on the same chart is impossible, while implementing this could be as easy as letting us mark a funnel step as optional.

No need to think twice from the perspective of grouping or limiting events. Log all interactions as they happen, and let Mixpanel insights give you the summary you need. Funnels and Retention reports also help a lot. Because of the simple interface, you can get insights very quickly.

They provide some board templates, but I guess that's where they can improve and add more ready-to-use templates. May be I haven't explored this part enough, will soon give it a try.

Using Mixpanel plans for event logging is an essential part of ensuring successful launches, but the examples available are inadequate. It's simple to get started that it can lead to carelessly tracking too much information that ends up being redundant and useless. To ensure successful implementation, access to more detailed planning models would be highly beneficial.

1. It is super fast - No matter the complexity of filters, breakdowns, mixpanel comes up with the visualization in a jiffy. Now that's a delight because number crunching is known to be super slow process across other analytics tools, excel etc. 2. The UI is beautiful - Who thought number crunching could be fun? Well, mixpanel did. 3. Feature packed - You get trends, insights, funnels, cohorts broken down by any number of dimensions.

Nothing really! Maybe they could add products like Appcues, Userflow etc., to simplify life for product folks.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to create custom reports we need to track down-funnel freemium user acquisition actions. This enables us to optimize channels/campaigns that drive the best quality users for a PLG product.

It's not intuitive how to add other users to reports at first. It's not a big deal once you figure out how to collaborate across your team.

It gives app event-based and user-level analytics to better understand and evaluate the impact of our product.

We were not able to find a direct way to understand how much time a user spent on our app per session.

I love that it is very intuative. I love that I can use it to explore and answer questions that I have. I love the great design of the product, high end result, makes me want to use it. It's so "delicious"-if I can say it on a web interface.

Didn't have many. As a non-data person, most of the limitation are of my imagination. Also, I think a nice feature that would help my org is recommendations to eemove duplicate props, as we have many (our fault of course).

The most helpful thing about Mixpanel is the ability to get quantitative insights into how my products perform with users. Shipping features is not good enough if you can't assert that they have the impact you want for your customers.

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Mixpanel to make decisions and really understand where we have successful conversion across different sets of users and the path they take. I've used Amplitude before and would say they're comparable. I do love the "Compare with previous week" and easy duplication functionality.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I can't dig in as much as I'd like to a group of users and follow paths across new paths - so if a user came to us via one UTM campaign, wanting to see the rest of their journey when they return on a new campaign or come back organically.

I wasn´t an expert in any event analytic tool when I first started using Mixpanel. The way to build your dashboards is very amicable.

There are still some features missing in case you want to also use it as a KPI Dashboard.
