What do you like best about the product?
Thanks to the clear tutorials and the platform's intuitiveness, we were able to develop and launch our project in record time. What do you like best about the product?
Caspio provides a great environment that combines a user friendly relational database system, with web forms you can easily set up with pre-made templates, and gives you the ability to automate tasks by building scripts (tasks) and triggered actions with their low-code interface. I have very limited experience in coding and I was able to build a solution to my first problem in a few hours. Then, given the success of my first application, now we have built other applications that have simplified my team's day-by-day operations and even other teams have asked us to build solutions for them. I was able to build my own custom-made solution at a very small fraction the cost (yearly) that an external vendor quoted to my company for a similar custom-made solution.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Caspio's built-in templates are great and we're normally ok to go with them, sometimes we'd like to customize views a bit and the interface for customizing/localizing information can get a bit overwhelming. Still, the solution is highly customizable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Caspio allowed us to automate a few business processes by giving our client direct access to the information they need through a web form. Caspio's database, tasks and triggered actions allow us to have our data organized and updated. Our application have significantly reduced the workload in my team (and 2 others) and converted on of our most time-consuming tasks into something we don't even think about regularly.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio is a relatively easy and quick way to build low-code applications that are accessible online. It enabled our company to go fully remote with no computer hardware to purchase or maintain. When we examined different tools to do this, Caspio came out above the others.

What do you dislike about the product?
You have to take the no-code claim with a grain of salt. While creating a simple data entry screen with no code is possible, it is not practical to expect to create an application to serve your business without some Java script for data verification, formatting, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We converted our legacy remote access server system and DBMS, which took years to develop and implement with Caspio in approximately 6-8 months. After a couple of months of working with the new Casio system, we could go fully remote and not renew our lease for office space. Our going fully remote was well before the pandemic, so we didn't have any of the issues many companies had.

I like the power that Caspio puts in the hands of even non-programmers. Its easy to use and sensibly controlled to ensure that even those with little or no IT skills can produce something wonderful and solve real business problems very quickly

Caspio is continuously improving, however, some of its backend admin pages could be slightly more up to date to make full use of modern screen sizes

I would say give it a go and find out for yourself how useful and easy they have made it to make stable, powerful web-based applications. I've tried other providers and they couldn't compete with Caspio that is why I have been using their platform for so many years

I have been using Caspio for almost 10 years and have used it to solve lots of business application challenges such CSU portals, Planning Tools, Continuous Improvement Apps, Surveys, and Customer facing Operational data portals. What do you like best about the product?
The resource based plan instead of the user one. How is easy and fast to make a prototipte really no-coding.At the same time it provide api and allow JavaScript to customize details. Thire solid improvement and update effort on the platform.

We do not like their approach to fine authorization, but they made more affordable with last releases. Some limits on triggers that make hard if you need to implement complex business logic.

It is amazing how fast is from discussing requirements with customer to show them a pilot. We reduced this time from weeks to (few) days. We improved a lot our response to customer's needs.

What do you like best about the product?
We were able to build a very feature-rich website that allows those in our industry to easily search, review and update a member directory easily. The Caspio platform made it easy to quickly add and enhance that functionality based on feedback from our users. Since then, we have built several apps for internal staff use, to enhance their ability to find member records and organization records. We're using Tray.io as an integration tool to automatically sync our main CRM database to Caspio on a regular basis. That's working well too. The training resources, articles and community forums have been excellent for learning the platform. It's rare for me to not figure out a way to accomplish what I need in Caspio.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love the ability to schedule an export in Google sheet format. Currently, I can only export in Excel, Access, CSV or XML format.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to create a directory of people that could be publicly accessible, but we also needed to allow authorized users to have the ability to edit and update that directory. We were able to do this with Caspio.

What do you like best about the product?
The Caspio product brings a lot of mostly intuitive tools for non-technology organizations to quickly design, build, and refine/build information management and sharing solutions for appropriate access and use by their employees, trusted associates, and the general public

What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model does not allow smaller organizations with smaller license solutions to access (purchase) specific desired Caspio system capabilities without upgrading to much much larger and expensive (unaffordable) licensing agreements. We appreciate that Caspio can't have totally variable licensing features offerings - but some capabilities, such as being able to select and create a "PDF", rather than a print stream, for a target record, would be very valuable.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating a 'first of its kind' information system to help a non-profit Foundation collect, manage, and share historic cemeteries' decedent information with the public and researchers. Caspio tools enable non-IT personnel and consultants to do rapid design, prototype, refine and deploy of the initial Cemetery Information System, and quickly enhance the platform while it is being used every day by Administrators and the Public. Caspio's database hosting enables the non-IT organization to easily contract for and use a fully formed stable, secure, and expandable hosted database and application solution.

What do you like best about the product?
I do IT support as my primary occupation and have jumped off into application development for a few projects. Caspio is hands down my top choice for low-code solutions. The platform works very well which is of course important, and the ability to do advanced customizations makes it so that Caspio can handle almost any project I can envision. What really sets Caspio apart, though, is the quality of the support experience, which is the very best of the various software companies I work with. Every single one of the technicians I've spoken with has been knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. It seems like several of the support staff aren't based in the US, which in other companies might be a challenge due to language barriers, but not so with Caspio - everyone I've spoken with speaks perfect English and they are all very bright and capable. Shoutout to Luis and Mary and Christian and Carlo and Volodymyr and the other techs I've worked with - top notch support!!! I'm super impressed with the speed of response, too - within moments of starting a chat session I am working with someone to resolve my issues.

What do you dislike about the product?
The platform uses something called datapages, which is a uniquely Caspio way of doing things, and it took a little getting used to. Now that I'm more comfortable with it, I find that I actually prefer it in many ways to other tools I've used. Certain advanced database features aren't available, such as UNION queries, but that's probably a good thing from a speed perspective. It does make you reimagine how you're going to build things, and what I've found is that there's almost always a workaround that allows you to move forward, probably even better than what was originally intended.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Caspio to build some full-fledged business management applications for customers. For example, I got a call on a Thursday evening from a men's homeless shelter with an emergency need. Their previous software had gone down and was unrecoverable, and they were now unable to keep track of their guest checkins. By Monday morning I had a new solution developed, and by Thursday morning. less than a week after getting the initial call, I was able to put the new system in place, tested and with all their previous data imported. They liked it so well that they had me expand it to accommodate their Women's Center, and then I added on a whole new Point of Sale functionality to manage their Thrift Store as well. The whole project cost less for them to have developed using Caspio than what their annual support cost them for their previous software.

What do you like best about the product?
Our app has been on Caspio for about 5 years- there's a lot to like: The platform itself: Easy to use to quickly get a web app live. Fast rollouts of updates for your users. Endlessly customizable with javascript and css and a REST api that can connect to the outer internet. Lots of helpful features beyond the basic database and its forms and reports (scheduled tasks for data, import/export data, Stripe and PayPal integration, AWS and Zapier integration, etc.). Caspio is a fully featured platform that can be as easily or complexly developed as your needs require. The company: Excellent account and technical support (at least for corporate accounts, which is my only experience). I feel like Caspio is part of my business's team--I can count on them to quickly address issues as they come up and find solutions I'm sometimes unable to see myself. Their ticket support is the best I've seen on any platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot to dislike, but I do wish the pricing was more flexible, depending on what kind of business and app is used.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Caspio makes it possible to create a fully realized web app with paying customers, with minimum investment. We can also scale capabilities as our business scales. Being able to tailor our resources to the speed of our actual development keeps our business's overhead low.

What do you like best about the product?
Attentive Customer Success Manager and support staff. The additional available one on one training is great. The pricing structure has a good balance of included features. It is a solid platform.

The logic programming is not as intuitive as I would like. (It might be me, nah I'm awesome...) CASPIO seems to work best when deployed via a hosted sight. I got started in Quickbase years ago and liked their built-in dashboard options.

Caspio allowed me to ditch the multitude of Excel spreadsheets used when I joined the company I work for now. Excel is a great first step, but CASPIO allowed me to take our client services to a higher level. I can now enable our clients to see and interact with their data from where ever they are in real-time.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio gives me the opportunity to create great software as a side effort to my primary responsibilities. I have coded from scratch in the past but don't have time to build full data structures myself. As a small service business, I have been able to build a completely custom operating system for our company...all while still operating our business. Caspio helps me reduce my time to market by giving me standard tools to work with but still allowing quite a bit of flexibility. I also really like Caspio's support lately. It's amazing to be able to chat with a really knowledgable agent and get real answers quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I wish Caspio would improve on is some of their UI components. A stronger card based interface and tables that have a more modern look-n-feel would be a welcome addition to their current offering.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Caspio helps me standardize my data structures and provides simple ways to deploy new features in my application. One of the things that is super beneficial and that I overlook often is the fact that using Caspio technologies essentially means that my software has no bugs! As I use the standard features and products that Caspio offers, they do all the testing to ensure quality so it leaves me to simply customize and deploy. When I consider that against my previous software experiences, that saves me an entire quality department and process.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the product itself-- the platform has allowed me to develop a highly-customized application system and database to run a scholarship program and financial aid assessment tool for private schools to use to set affordable tuition rates for their families. Caspio provided excellent training that allowed me to build this system, as well as ongoing support that walked with me in all the technical issues I've created for myself in the last 5 years. They also provide continuous updated and upgrades to the platform that have enhanced the experience tremendously since I started using it in 2018.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio client since 2009 when as a small business owner, I wanted to develop a searchable database with online submit forms. At the time, there were few options for someone with very limited IT and no coding experience. Caspio was affordable, offered the platform and informational tutorials that allowed me to do that. That database is still being used. There have been modifications over the years but it has been very reliable with no issues. Everyone at Caspio has always been friendly, willing to help and knowledgeable whenever I have had questions. Their kindness and patience in explaining things at a novice level was and is very much appreciated. I recently contacted customer service, Kurk was prompt, eager to help, answered my questions and went the extra mile to assist me. Caspio offers the type of customer service that you hope to receive but rarely do with most companies today.

The formatting, if you really pay attention to stylistics (fonts, sizes, positioning) still requires some degree of coding. I was able to develop a workable database but struggled on the final 20 percent of formatting the output as I needed coding assistance.

Its a large capable product, as such you can often solve the same problem using multiple methods. Picking the correct method can sometimes be tricky. I find the templates and youtube channel alot to help.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and quick to adapt to the changes and easily translate any requirement, especially the web forms and calculation Pivot tables. The dashboards and reporting capabilities are also nice compared to other tools. Security and RLS is add-on point while designing any application. From an integration perspective as well the tool is more updated and easy to integrate with any third-party tool via API or Zapier.

The only challenge about caspio is limited calculation field usage at table level as well as page levels and SSO should not require to keep copy of user mail in data source it should automatically get added.

Caspio is a web-based low-code development platform that helps with turning our ideas into custom applications at ease. We can automate our workflows, enable customer-specific notifications and generate detailed reports for our projects. This is effective as we work to pace up our SDLC, collaboration with teams and deliver the application within its time constraints. We can also add columns on a temporary basis while we require to generate specific reports and later we can remove them to uphold the previous records which are useful for our application testing & report analysis.

Although the documentation offered by Capsio is elaborate while starting fresh we need to spend time understanding the functionalities and how we can customize it to meet our application requirements. Apart from this learning curve, we can save a lot of time in building our database applications with various drag & drop features offered by Caspio.

We require a common utility to ingest all our customer data and build applications on top of it & Caspio facilitates this requirement perfectly. We have developed many applications to carry out a wide range of database administration for our business use cases. Its alert notification feature informs us about any anomalies in real-time as we have defined it in our automated workflow. It also gives us access controls over the addition & removal of users easily and we can efficiently create our database-centric applications to incorporate complex SQL statements and JavaScript codes with its drag & drop elements conveniently.

Caspio allowed me to create websites from simple data manipulation to more complicated applications (mostly require SQL and Javascript codes). Anyone with basic knowledge or zero experience in web development can easily use Caspio. Caspio also offers short training, video tutorials, and samples,

For complicated applications, it's difficult to find solutions within Caspio's, you gotta dig deeper and create the solutions for yourself using javascript and SQL. Their support will only help you with the functionality within Caspio but they have a good community in their forum to help you and give you examples.

I get reporting requests on a day-to-day basis, Caspio has been helpful in that aspect. I also get benefits from creating much more complicated reports just by using Caspio's functionality alone with no code necessary.

It's a low-code platform that allows anyone to create interactive reports/views with minimal knowledge. It's easy to use and there is a robust resource and training area that gives me the tools needed to grow within the platform.

There is a LOT of information and ability within Caspio, and sometimes it can be overwhelming with the number of possibilities. The user interface just received an upgrade which is helpful, but the data can sometimes be finicky directly in the data tables.

We were able to take tables of data that were previously only available in pdf reports and turned them into interactive, searchable, and up-to-date sources that our users can now pull specific information out of using a simple search. Previously, users would have had to collect this data, clean it, and sort it on their own but we have taken care of this process within Caspio with success. We've also used Caspio for basic form submissions.

What do you like best about the product?
The Caspio system allowed a small number of staff and volunteers to create an extensive data management system for our K-8 public charter school. We were able to create - from scratch -- an entire public-facing online student registration system as well as an internal data management solution that allows us to track student demographics, health information, behavioral needs, and much much more. Caspio is now the core service upon which our entire school operates.

What do you dislike about the product?
From time to time we have had to create some code to achieve some advance functions that were helpful to our system. The online documentation is very helpful, but more so, the Caspio support team has gone above and beyond to help us achieve our goals.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
if you are looking for a very flexible tool to address complex data management challenges, you won't find a better option.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall data management for a K-8 public school with more than 350 students and 50 staff. Caspio has allowed us to create multiple systems including student registration, classroom management tools, reports and more that now drive the day to day functioning of the school.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio is an easy-to-use platform to create data-based web applications. I love how fast I can develop solutions for our clients. I like how the development works, separated in DataPages, Tables, Authentications etc. For a simple solution, no coding is necessary, but I like it that I can also add some custom HTML, CSS, and JS when needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
In some applications, I find Caspio to be somewhat limited. I had to use Javascript many times to create some logics that I couldn't, using the stock Caspio functions. This kind of goes against the No-Code / Low-Code philosophy. Talking about Triggered Actions, I find it really useful, but the Cascading limit limits the creation of complex logics

What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to understand and help guides can be found in Caspio's website. Building the database structure is quite easy to design and construct. Some competitors are doing this kind of system already but our company will stick with Caspio.

Since it is low code platform, all you need is a little bit of study and watching the examples will get you through it. The java scripting is a little bit of hassle as I am not familiar with some scripting but using Caspio support things can be easier if the logic you want are resolved.

We are solving a code that is re-usable and can be deployed in any web page. This is important for our organization as we use different kind of solution to solve day to day issues. What do you like best about the product?
We have felt Caspio has met our needs to create a functional CTMS for our clinical teams to use. We have built financial tracking, patient tracking, and have been able to use Caspio to create full oncology trials in the system and attach documents. Forums are super useful when we find ourselves unable to figure something out.

What do you dislike about the product?
Things are not always 100% intuitive and we have had issues when updates are released without notification to our team - but we have been able to use the help teams to get us where we need to be.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small non-profit organization with specific needs in working with oncology trials. Many CTMS applications either do not meet our needs, or are well beyond what we need (meaning they are also well beyond our price point). We have been able to build what we need, without needing to hire a coder or a specialist to do so.

What do you like best about the product?
Compared to other systems that we used in the past, Caspio is highly flexible and can be rapidly modified in response to changing program needs. For example, our Federal funder frequently changes forms or questions that we are required to ask of our trainees. In the past we would need to submit changes to a developer and go through multiple rounds of revisions. I am a program evaluator, with no formal training in programming or website development, and with Caspio I can quickly make the changes myself.

What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to some previous systems Caspio's user interface is more complex, so there was some up-front time required for me to learn the system. But the positive associated with that is a high degree of flexibility. Basic tasks can be set up quickly, but advanced users have more options for greater control over the system's functionality. Overall it seems like a good trade-off.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Caspio for three inter-connected functions: an online event registration system for trainees, an event management dashboard and reporting system for training coordinators, and an administrative reporting dashboard for program managers at our central office. Each set of end-users has their own interface, to interact in different ways with the same underlying data.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty easy to use for simple tasks and applications.

What do you dislike about the product?
The price keeps going up and up, and the features are more and more lacking. The new App Extensions is a slap in the face to customers. They say that Caspio is a 'No Code' platform, but that is hardly the case. You do not need coding knowledge if you want basic, bare-bones, 2010-style applications. If you want anything remotely close to looking up to date with current standards and practices, or want something like a Gantt chart, you will either need to know an extensive amount of coding or pay a hefty amount for their ' professional services'.

It is nice having everything be accessible via the web. It is nice to have the ability to have our employees go to a website and submit a form from their cellphone. Basic things like this is what Caspio is really good for.

What do you like best about the product?
It has a good amount of capabilities without overloading a creator with too many complexities. It is not an overly complex system but still allows the creator to create some complex applications. The pricing is good as well. We have created many applications that would have taken much longer in more advanced systems. The table triggers allow for advanced table manipulation that really make an application powerful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more integration with the external systems however that does add to complexity for the creator. Also the ability to bind multiple screens within the UI rather than writing Javascript to handle the binding.

Find out what Caspio does before using it. It is not a replacement for all development but for what it does it is very good at its job.

Approval workflows. Data display. Search engines. Safety reporting. It is quite simple to load in a large amount of data and build a search screen to view the data and then export that subset of information. Also, workflows to allow people to approve and view information have reduced the time and paper to get this done.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio is helpful for building my organization's applications without the need to write codes for them. It enables me to utilize its pre-configured blocks for creating enteprise-level applications. It replaces the coding experience of developers with simple action items which are more user-friendly, convenient and straightforward.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's very simple to understand & use the existing code designs, and I can make use of its hassle-free drag and drop features instead of writing multi-line codes to establish my database applications. I don't find anything that I dislike about Caspio.

It's always challenging and complex when I have to configure a bulk information repository framework since I need to consider multiple config items. Caspio helps me to design structured and quick database applications which have up-to-date records for my data analysis and custom reporting needs. The database query execution is also simplistic and ensures the consistency of my source table. It's easy to implement and maintain our business data management & other sB systems, thanks to Caspio. It optimizes waste space issues and increases the probability of resolving code-related defects and discrepancies within its framework. This is feasible thanks to its splendid GUI builder to design & customize our database applications which are always up to the mark of our customer's expectations.

What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful aspect of Caspio is the friendly Customer Service Team, for me led by Ramil Borromeo, immediately or quickly followed by Ned Pajic's ***** 5-Star Training on Youtube, especially the Caspio Labs!!! And that would be the Biggest of all the upsides of using Caspio... as an insurance agent now learning Developer; it's the Tutorials, the Expert Support, and the Knowledge base of Tools and Resources that are Simply the Best available.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly my least favorite thing about using Caspio is the Low-Code pitch as Yes it is technically true, because I knew little to almost no code until Ned Pajic (Caspio Trainings Technical Evangelist) taught me via Youtube. So yeah that's my least favorite thing, but I also love it because it allows me to stand out as being more highly qualified having gone through their more intense free training program on Youtube for just over a year now, so actually a success here.

For those considering using or not using Caspio, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using it, and if you have Any Questions... They answer the phone and return phone calls. Honestly, in my 23 years in the insurance industry and as part of many other organizations, Caspio is where we will now be directing All our companies and clients who would all truly benefit from the Caspio platform and customer service team as they are absolutely Outstanding!!

Simple interface and easy to use the platform, even for beginners with little to no coding experience. You can also easily import your own spreadsheets into Capsio with the click of a button, making data upload increadibly fast and simple.

While creating tables and datapages is very simple, developing your own "Styles" for designs seems more complex than it needs to be. Additionally, getting the full functionality of Caspio requires a relatively high-level plan.

What do you like best about the product?
Fees are fair, the system is clean and easy to use, support is fast and awesome. The relational database aspects was a challenge, but the Caspio team walked me through it so I could move all our data from QuickBase to Caspio. They provide a lot of videos and written documentation for nearly every step. They also have fast, live chat help, as well. What more do you need?

What do you dislike about the product?
Like anything new, it takes a while to get up to speed, but the included expert sessions are really good. I wish their charts looked more professional, but they are as good as Google Charts

We used QuickBase for over 10 years, but their fees kept increasing and support became useless. What do you like best about the product?
Caspio designed the database for me; the design process was quick, with every opportunity to test the design throughout. The database was unusual as it involved the biological classification of fish parasites and the fish species affected. The database had to allow the incorporation of fish samples and their location in the UK, so a complex system. Throughout the design and subsequently, the team at Caspio have resolved any issues speedily. Most of the issues were of my own making, and concerned my poor knowledge of database systems. The search engines which have been incorporated into the design are brilliant, allowing a search for parasite species, the fish hosts, size of parasites, location. This is a fantastic tool, accessing data for research purposes.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I have disliked about the Caspio build of my database, I'm very happy with the service I've been given.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Until the mid-1990's knowledge of fish parasite distribution was undertaken by publishing in a variety scientific journals, which resulted in the information being widely distributed and with limited access. The use of an electronic database allows historic and current records to be located on a single, accessible platform. The ability to easily add data, drill down on information on either parasites or the fish hosts is fantastic. The database is providing information that will be used to understand the distribution of non-native invasive species, provide a base line for the native parasites. The information will provide the basis for further research projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio has a very intuitive user interface that makes building reports easy. I also like the different methods we can import data; FTP, Dropbox, and API. It's also nice I can use SQL commands and functions. If you like relational databases, you're going to love Caspio, extremely easy to pair multiple tables.

What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed reliability issues with Caspio's API, especially under heavy usage.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've been using Caspio for over 10 years but I always check out the competition. Closest thing seems to be Airtable but they are missing critical features for us like scheduled importing of data via FTP and some expanded SQL functionality. Another important factor for me is data retention. There are not many solutions out there with the longevity and track record of Caspio. I don't have to worry about our data disappearing overnight.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio is super easy to use for a basic application and then when you go under the covers, you can do almost anything with it. We've done some highly complicated UX stuff with it - not as much complex DB stuff but it has all the expected SQL functionality. There is a REST API which we are just starting to use. Overall love the product. We were able to bring on inexperienced developers and get them up to speed very fast using the Caspio community forum, help documentation and online chat support.

What do you dislike about the product?
3 things. 1) the pricing for the HIPAA compliant environment is a little high and may price smaller projects out of the market. 2) Their professional services stay in their lane and what I mean by that is they have some really cool stuff but they want you to buy their services instead of sharing their insights, if it were my company I'd offer that as an incentive to use the product. 3) Security is by 3rd party cookie (as is almost everyone else in this space) - they'll need to figure out a way to adopt that as Google Chrome moves away from supporting that. I think (hope) that Google continues to drag their feet. Apple already does this on Safari so to make use of native Caspio you have to instruct Safari uses to explicitly enable 3rd party cookies.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
In reading this forum, I noticed a lot of you looking for knowledgeable resources. The Caspio platform is quite similar to other low code environments and we had no trouble finding both onshore and offshore talent that could quickly become proficient in Caspio. We did not use many of the graphics functions but we did have extensive UX requirements across various screen sizes. The open coding structure allows easy integration of custom css and JS so we were able to make the platform work for pretty much all our specifications. The out of the box examples are just the beginning of what you can do with Caspio as a framework, but remember to document that custom code well (as you would do on any platform).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've built a business application that tracks medical procedures enabling a large practice to better comply with HEDIS standards. We built a couple of different scheduling apps - some of them requiring HIPAA level privacy. We built a complex provider selection application that supports a group of businesses that self-insure. This enables their employees to get discounted surgical, imaging, lab and PT services. Saves money for both employer and employee. The big benefit for us was economically building applications. We think we saved over $1M in labor costs building out 6 applications over 2 years if comparing to a similar quote on a native cloud platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio's platform is well designed and provides pretty much everything you need to quickly create database-centric apps. If you are not an SQL whiz they got you covered with powerful click & drag elements that allow to build pretty complex SQL commands. We have never had a problem with deployment on our sites and it provides fast DB access. Just be sure to normalize your database! The ability to embed JS and HTML within HTML BLOCKS has been a tremendous benefit for us as well. With these options there really is very little you can't accomplish within your datapages.

What do you dislike about the product?
Caspio's trigger and task development environment can be challenging when you begin to develop beyond basic DB tasks. We have found that variables are not your friend in this environment as they tend to really "bog" down the performance of development. Caspio places limits on how many cascading "triggers" can occur within each script and this has caused us some headaches in working around this limitation. An update to the task and trigger environment last year improved performance tremendously but subsequently, there are quirks now in the interaction of the canvas. For instance - after working within the trigger or task canvas for a while a shadowy blur will begin to cover areas that you have worked on. While this does not prevent you from continuing it is very distracting. Regarding the overall management of your assets, you cannot create folders for any of your assets except for datapages. It would be beneficial to be able to organize all of your assets into folders as larger apps will encompass dozens of tables, views, localizations, styles, etc. You also cannot create dynamic global variables. They have to be static only. This means you cannot set a variable in one trigger and access it from another. This could be a limitation of SaaS development but for us, old school developers, it has been frustrating.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have developed a Scheduling and Resource management system for the medical industry using the Caspio platform. While it has had its challenges we feel this platform was a good choice for us even with its sometimes head-scratching limitations, as you really can get things done quickly. it is a low-code environment and those imitations do get in the way sometimes but we have been able to work around most of these. On the other hand, it is the low-code design that has allowed us to get many functions completed much quicker in addition to having less experienced developers assisting us. Once you get used to the concepts and get over the realization that you have to develop within a very structured environment, there is very little you could not accomplish. Support - While the user community support forum is hit or miss on getting assistance, Caspio's support team has always been very responsive with the exception of just one issue that they keep telling us "they are working on". That issue is not affecting our development efforts, however. Product Management is responsive and pricing, while cleverly designed to get the most $ out of you as possible, is still reasonable IMO.

What do you like best about the product?
The 'no code' environment is amazing. We can make changes to data pages with ease, preview them, and see if the change we did works, and then re-tweak it to make sure it's correct. It is reasonably fast and doesn't seem to bog down much at all.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to find developers who understand all of the ins and outs of Caspio. While the basic stuff has a very small learning curve, finding where to do things *, i.e., lookup tables*, calculated fields, and some other platform nuances, are unique and challenging. Even 'seasoned' and experienced Caspio developers have issues at times that are frustrating to resolve. The Caspio support is helpful in most cases, but sometimes they are not as thorough as they should be. In our particular case, we had a unique authentication issue. We had written support and got a very dismissive and vanilla answer to the problem. Our three developers could not resolve it for the life of them, and it was causing issues with registering our users. As our business is growing dynamically, this is problematic. Luckily for us, we got a new account rep, and she just happened to 'check-in on us' when taking over for a colleague. She was AMAZING. She tasked a senior developer who did a screen share with us not 24 hours later, and we resolved a HUGE issue in less than an hour. Overall, it is a great platform, but even those familiar with it are not completely familiar with it, and at times you will need to find a good support liaison to solve some issues. Caspio is great in many ways. One more thing that is a bit disappointing is their front-end tools/widgets. IF Caspio could integrate something like JOT FORMS front end-user tools, it would be hands down the best solution ever. You can use javascript for some of these things, but that typically brings in yet another developer. Ugh..

Recommendations to others considering the product:
make sure you are prepared to have your developers experience a learning curve with the nuances of the platform. If they are the type that doesn't like to ask for help, you will struggle. Mightly.

Health care-related EHR systems issues and patient management. It's HIPAA compliant and, most of the time, very easy to get something working very fast.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio has enabled our team of financial analysts create and deploy data collection databases for running our financial benchmarking business. We don't need to be programmers with Caspio, just reasonably-good database users. We have created several client-facing applications and internal systems for management tasks. Features such as workflow and email automation gives us the ability to deploy high-quality, high-functionality sites and instantly make changes. If we were paying a developer for this work, we could not afford it, in terms of time and dollars. Caspio has an amazing set of features and has just improved every year in the 8 years we have been using the system. It is our "go-to" application for any new ideas and we are constantly amazing ourselves with the flexibility and functionality of Caspio.

What do you dislike about the product?
A bit of a learning curve to get up to speed, but it is not too bad. If you have good Access skills, you can generally figure out Caspio. To build advanced functionality, it helps if you have some JavaScript experience. Caspio does not document ALL that you can do, however, the online community is very supportive and helpful.

We are managing data collection and presentation sites for our financial benchmarking products. We are a small organization and do not have full-time web developers, but Caspio gives us the ability to do the work ourselves. Turnaround times are rapid, and we can deploy professional web applications without requiring external resources. We could not afford to hire out to get the functionality that Caspio provides. We have also created a process management site for working with an all-remote team to control our processes. Caspio's workflow capabilities help us ensure that our processes run automatically with no manual routing. The most significant benefit from Caspio is that once we started using the system on a small task, we could see more cases where we could use Caspio to expand our business. We now look for how we can leverage Caspio to create new products for sale to our clients.

I was impressed with the tool. I was able to get up and running within a couple of weeks of training. Online videos and how-tos were beneficial. I looked at several other options and am happy with my decision.

My only issue is how it is integrated with the web front end. It does not work well with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.). They recommended that I use straight html rather than a CMS; however, this does add some overhead.

I would love to be able to easily copy rows of data -- similar to an Excel environment. I have to do a lot of copying and pasting (if I am not doing an import). There is also a lot of scrolling across the screen -- I want to be able to hide columns in my tables when working on the backend tables.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility this platform provides by not having to be a professional developer is key for keeping IT resource costs under control. I do not have experience with competitors, but after working with the platform for a year and a half, I have no interest in seeking other solutions at this time.

There are a few drawbacks, such as triggered actions not functioning with bulk imports, however this is something that I believe is on the horizon. Import automation is a bit clunky but I imagine the Caspio team is working to improve this portion of the platform as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Caspio is a very efficient method to develop an MVP. And can easily be integrated into a published website. I like the fact that there is a huge amount of training, and how-to videos. Caspio is pretty intuitive and any time I run into an issue I have been able to get customer support to help me through the issue in a reasonable time frame.

What do you dislike about the product?
Lets say you need to add a question to a form. It automatically goes to the bottom of the form. Then you have to click the up arrow to move that question up one row at a time. On long forms this becomes really redundant and cumbersome. If I could easily add a question to the middle of a form by dragging and dropping that would be great. Or if I could select multiple questions at once and move them all at once that would also be great.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to rapidly build a database that people could sign up to and enter various types of data. I needed to do this with no other team members and for very little overhead. I have been able to do that. There is so much more functionality on Caspio than I am currently using so that is great to know there is more for me to grow into.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful component to Caspio is its support system. When I get stuck on how to do something, I go to chat and very quickly they solve my challenge. When I have some complex scenarios to solve such as having 2 y-axis on a chart that use different scales, they came to the rescue.

What do you dislike about the product?
The least favorite thing about Caspio (though not a dislike by any means) is creating multi variable charts with multiple axis because it does require knowledge of code that I've been able to get Caspio support to do. So while that isn't easy, they did it for me, so for me, that was easy.

I needed an online member portal to track client goals, financials, and other data-intensive information. Caspio made it easy to create a members portal where members can login and create or update goals, financials, etc and we can go in and create or modify what they do. It allows us to work together on their objectives and has simplified the back and forth that shared docs and email used to provide.

I like that with zero knowledge of any programming languages, you can create a fully functional app. I also like that you can deploy your projects in seconds.

There is nothing I dislike about Caspio. It has been very usefull and time-saving for us.

Caspio is costly, and the minimum commitment is 12 months, which can be problematic in some cases.

In response to COVID-19 screening requirement, we had to develop a Workforce health monitoring and management app. Being at the early stage of the pandemic, the only few apps that were available on the market were not meeting our specific needs. We then decided to develop our in-house solution. We needed the ability to create a relatively complex solution within only a few days ahead of us. With strict requirements imposed by federal and provincial personal information privacy legislation (Canada), the list of contenders was very short. Caspio was then selected as the most viable option. Not the cheapest, but the most flexible and "customizable". After one week, with some basic knowledge, we managed to roll out the first version of the app, which has now been used daily by more than 4200 workers. Caspio team members provided me with guidance and expertise when I needed it. The customer service is responsive and efficient. Their platform is simple, efficient, and reliable.

We have started using Caspio 4 weeks ago, and it is already operative. The positive side is that we can keep improving it all the time, even while we are still learning the full potential of the platform. Deploying your data in a website couldn´t be easier.

We were a company built on spreadsheets and emails. Our data was scattered across laptops, local servers and even filing cabinets. We made multiple approval workflows and designed systems that allow our people to work together as one unified team. Approval workflows that used to take a month now take less than a day and are fully auditable. Our now people have live, secure access to data that was previously locked away, unusable, or inaccurate. We identified well over 1 Million Dollars worth of waste in our processes and missed opportunities. We are finally on the path to owning our data and controlling our job functions, thanks to the power of Caspio!

What do you like best about the product?
Straightforward to implement without needing an entire coding team. Sometimes in the documentation, it can be challenging to decipher how something works, but the forums have been great for finding ideas and solutions. The support team has been responsive and helpful whenever needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you are used to coding, the no code solutions can sometimes be cumbersome to figure out. There are definitely times where I wish I could just write the SQL query or other code instead of using the GUI.

Basic funtionalities for creating an application are very easy. Caspio is convenient to use and it's easy to create a new application from scratch very quickly.

Downsides are related to the fact that it's a low code platform - which means you should choose other options if you aren't looking for a low code solution. Price for the easy entry is limitations with more complicated systems.

What do you like best about the product?
For years, I was looking for a modernized, tricked out version of Microsoft Access and now have found it with Caspio. It is based on an Access-like table framework. Love the low-code, no-code features, love the YouTube library and live sessions with Ned, love the templates, love the fact that we're not limited to a number of lines (like Kintone), and love that we can make the app and its dashboards look beautiful and pleasing to the eye. I love that my Managers, as they become more familiar with the tool, will be able to change wording without a developer. Love the speed with which we can create apps and the speed with which we can make changes. After literally years of trying different platforms to customize grants monitoring software to each client, we found Caspio and so far are very happy.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit more complicated than I anticipated, but that level of complexity provides us more features and opportunities for customization. So we can live with the complexity. We still use Caspio developers, but the cost overall is much less than developing coding from scratch.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated our grants monitoring processes to a greater idea as well as adopted Caspio for HR, marketing, and knowledge base apps. Benefits are far greater visibility on the status of monitoring reviews and statistics regarding individual Monitor performance, time spent, number of reviews outstanding. Dashboards to analyze findings are immensely helpful

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface allows for quick and easy development of our platform. Plus the added ability to add personalized coding. The chat support is always happy to help and provide the answers required. Ongoing development opportunities are available.

What do you dislike about the product?
Would love to be able to create a 'dashboard' that was able to be downloaded as a PDF report, rather than each Datapage separately. The limitation on the PDF formatting ability has a slight effect on how we present and display our data for our users. Also, when styling, happy to use custom CSS coding, just can't find the item to amend when it is not an obvious component, takes some trial and error.

We are able to save costs from using numerous third-party providers by collating it all and hosting all through Caspio.

The user interface is very easy to use and you can a very functional application up and running in just minutes. I also love that Caspio offers a highly secure and HIPAA compliant option.

What do you like best about the product?
The Caspio development team has been attentive and flexible in helping create custom applications to meet current needs. The team is always very responsive in communications and relatively swift in development.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Caspio development team is put together after initial meetings with the front end marketing and scoping teams. So, there are a lot of conversations and details discussed up front with people who were not part of the group I ultimately ended up working with on projects to whom I had to re-explain details or fill in gaps about the bigger picture. I understand why this happened but felt like some things were lost in translation by not having all parties present for these conversations.

I have worked with the Caspio development team to create applications that do not currently exist in the marketplace. So, the benefits have been that they will help develop solutions to align with business practices instead of requiring stakeholders to change business practices to align with their solutions like most out-of-the-box vendors.
