It is simple to use and set up. Everyone seems familiar with the technology and are open to using it. Doesn't take long to get into a groove with the system online either.

Sometimes terminals are difficult to keep connected to the internet. Additionally Squares use in other apps is difficult to manage and does not cooperate well.

The extensive list of integrations is a big plus with Square Payments. We use it for two businesses, our online notarization company and a catering booking gig work platform. It's easy to use and to train others on.

I can't think of anything. It's reliable, credible, reasonably priced and easy to use in a number of ways, from a website to mobile/field uses. Transfer of funds is easy as well.

I'm able to have field contractors process payments reliably and efficiently and customers are confident in Square, which is critical when processing cards. It's easy to transfer payments to contractors and retain our fees as well.

Square payments are comparable or cheaper on the credit card fees than other options. They have the reader for taking in-person payments, and they send you the first one free! Integrating Square and WPForms is easy and makes your site look very professional.

The only thing I have encountered is being able to pass through what the payment is for. If you use more than one form on your website to collect payments, being able to identify what a payment is for could be better .

What do you like best about the product?
As a small business I am able to easily process payments through my phone. There is no monthly fee, and the rates are competitive to many other services I looked into. Clients like the convenience of paying with a card, and with Square payments it is so easy that everybody should have no trouble taking card payments.

I've used Square for many years now, and while the card processing fees have remained about the same and are reasonable, Square is always coming out with new add on features that they charge monthly subscription fees for separately. Some of those features I would use if there was an option to give up a higher processing fee instead of a monthly subscription, but that is not offered.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to be able to accept payments in a fast and simple manner, in the method my clients want to pay. Square payments lets them use credit cards, debit cards, or checks using ACH, which takes care of most of the payments I receive. I can also enter cash transactions into the Square system to have a full picture of my business revenue all in one spot, even though that cash never passes through Square itself.

What do you like best about the product?
The variety of hardware on offer is excellent. We started with the Square Reader for £5 when our business just started. Now that the business is growing, we've upgraded to the Square terminal to have a more professional means of taking payments. Square Gift Cards just recently purchased and these are selling very well with loyal clients who want a discount for their repeat business. We always get great value for money from Square even as our needs change and our business grows.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Square Appointments app is not nearly as functional as we need. There is no ability to book appointments that require multiple rooms (e.g. a Couple Massage) or a single room that requires multiple staff members (e.g. 4-Hand Massages). If these new features were added, we would be booking all of our appointments via Square Appointments - both over the phone and online. This, in turn, would allow our business to significantly increase the number of bookings we make as the bookings would not be constrained to the number of people available to answer phone calls - reducing the time and cost spent taking bookings and also increasing revenue. Please add the required features. Also, would like to be able to use Square Appointments on the Square Terminal as the handheld device is ideal for how our therapists roam around the venue, interacting with clients, taking payments, selling gift cards, etc.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Square Payments, we only accepted cash from clients, which sometimes resulted in clients not paying at all, making excuses that they needed to go to a cash machine and then not coming back. The ability to consistently take payments from clients BEFORE their appointments has also increased security for the business as therapists know that they'll be paid and that they are in control of the situation during the massage. The £15 Square Reader allowed us to quickly improve our business processes at minimal cost which in turn has led to growth of the business, to the point that we've now upgraded to Square Terminal as we are taking a far higher volume of card payments and need the convenience, professionalism and functionality of the Square Terminal

Have not found anything unhelpful with square. No solution is needed as of yet. Maybe add some more business categories to customize more easily, for example, lawn care business. However, they do have a paid plan that i have not reviewed that may have the solutions.

A big reason I chose to use square, is that very few payment apps allow users to use prepaid debit cards as forms of payment. With square they accept all forms of prepaid cards without any hassle.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Square is how easy it is to setup. You just add your bank account, company name, etc and you're good to go. You can start taking payments right away without needing a card reader (by entering the card details in manually). You can customize your receipts contracts, invoice everything!

The magistrate card reader is hard to use. It doesn't work always. And manually entering a card costs more fees.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I received a free magistripe card reader when I signed up. But I would recommend to pay $60 and get the tap card reader.

I had issues setting up the contracts with my own terms. Also, square doesn't recognize all debit cards. It has to be Visa debit. The benefits are the convenience for my customers to pay with credit card and Visa debit. I also am able to send an invoice and get paid before the service has been performed.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Square is to use. I can customize my categories and amounts to make checking my clients out fast and easy. I provide consulting work on a monthly basis and run cards once a month. Square makes this process easy for me to check 15-20 clients out in about 10 minutes. That means more time spent on my clients. Square is also very quick to get the revenue into my account, which is also great.

What do you like best about the product?
Square has the ability for the user to set up selectable services with specific charges. For small businesses (like my recording studio) that need to accept payments with credit cards, Square is a good choice. There are other companies that offer a similar service (Paypal), but Square is versital - you can use Square anywhere - which is great for mobile businesses. With a little effort, you can set up multiple payments with various amounts due for multiple customers on a single purchase. For example, I can charge members of a musical group separately for a single purchase (recording, mixing, rehearsal). That includes cash and credit cards.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, Square Payments is a perfect solution for businesses wanting to take credit cards or cash payments and accounting for those transactions. When taking multiple payments, the software can time out before completing the individual payment transactions. I could see this as a problem for restaurant businesses when customer orders are all on one check.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Square payments offer the ability to take payments in multiple formats: from manual entry to the interactive screen for customers to interact (payments, tips, paperless receipts). The ability to accept credit cards expanded my customers' choices when they could afford to record their music at my studio. What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can easily and quickly accept payments for my business. It’s affordable with no monthly fees. I can easily deposit the money into my bank quickly and even quicker for a small extra fee which I don’t always do but if needed it is an extra helpful option. I also like that I can save clients credit card info to reserve appointments.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that they’re going up on their fee. It’s not the end of the world but I just don’t like when prices rise. But it’s apart of business. I just hope that they keep staying affordable without monthly fees and don’t change to much of a good thing.

If you’re not accepting credit/debit as payment you’re doing business wrong. Set yourself up with a Square account today and get your reader. You will see your profits rise and if your business can accept tips you will see those profits rise as well.

I am easily and securely accepting payments from clients. I also love the tip screen that prompts them, I have noticed a lot more people tip this way.. which has helped me profit more for my business.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about square is probably just the ease of use with it. It's so easy for me to see transactions for a time period and with so many different filters, I have to check daily between the different offices on the payments. I also like how customizable it is with the buttons you can add and even adding on notes to each payment to track specific details if we need them.

What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you can't sign in from one account and then basically easily switch between locations, we use 2-3 different "locations" in each of our offices to accept payments for 3 different providers and each time, we have to completely log back out and log back in, I wish there was an easier way because it happens alllll the time that payments are taken for the wrong provider.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't know that there's any problems that we are able to solve with square necessarily but like I said, it's an easy platform for anyone to use, I can train a staff member to use Square quickly and they will pick it up quick!

What do you like best about the product?
Square Payments have allowed me to EASILY send invoices and get paid from my clients on time. All of my invoices look great and I have never had an issue accepting payments or receiving deposits.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the instant deposit fee wasn't so high. I understand the extra charge, but it sure puts a damper on things when a sale comes through and I need the funds right away.

Square Payments gets the job done. It is easy to set up, easy to use, looks and feels professional. They have standard % processing fees and plenty of easy integrations that I'm not even fully taking advantage of yet...

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Square has made it very easy to take payments online for your business by sending out Invoices that allow your clients to pay with their information. They also showcase a unique dashboard that allows you to view your sales, and revenue for the term (ie Month, Quarter, Day).

I dislike the processing fee, while it is small all those pennies add up at the end of the year, it's like another tax just to do business.

If you're on edge with choosing a credit card processor, square is pretty much hassle free and includes once a day instant deposits for 1%. It's a great tool to handle work and makes it very easy to do business.

With Square, they have allowed us to take payments via credit card/ debit card. Allowing to appeal to another audience that doesn't prefer to pay with cash or check. They have also made it very easy to manage our finances and directly import that data into quickbooks!

What do you like best about the product?
I don't know where to start with Square. It's helpful, it's efficient, you're able to use it at the drop of a hat even setting up a new employee's app on their phone... it just has it all. I would recommend it to anyone entrepreneurial who needs a convenient and inexpensive POS system.

I can legitimately say I do not dislike anything about Square that I've seen. Granted, I've not used every aspect of it.

I would highly recommend this for any business. It's entirely versatile.

Square allows the dozens of locations that our stand sets up to have a POS system that can connect and be used by any employee. It still has manual entry so if the card reader doesn't work the card can still be entered, and it processes quickly. The email receipts and ease of searching for transactions for returns are also very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Square as a technology tool for my business. I use several features including the ability to take payment, issue invoice and receive payments, and even the virtual terminal for taking payments in the office. I like that it automates several back office functions including sending out invoice reminders.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that loyalty programs could be tied to gift cards. One of my programs is a paid member benefits programs. I would love it if I could tie loyalty points to this card. Unfortunately when the card balance reaches zero, the loyalty program closes; therefore, I create a unique program that does not rely points.

I would highly recommend using square to accept payments. You also have the ability to manage employee use.

I am able to take payment easily anywhere I want. People can go to my website to load their ride pass card values. I love how square integrates with Jotfom.

It has its own platform with an excellent portfolio of products, you can also create your own stock to present your products, it has a very easy mobility since the stock will always be within reach of your smart phone, the incredible thing is that you can also implement this system payment to your own platforms and brings the same benefits.

The cost of commissioning with an integration in a web platform is somewhat costly, it charges you for each service as well as including the invoicing of it.

What do you like best about the product?
Square has an absolute ton of features. You can use all the popular payment types (apple pay, google pay, android pay, tap-to-pay credit cards, all credit card types) and also is enabled with a chip reader for extra security. I used this at both a restaurant and paddleboard shop I worked at, and it is VERY useful in showing data/analytics about sales. You can compare and contrast in many different customizable ways and also set up the screen to ring up customers in whatever way you like (in a list, in groups, with pictures, without pictures, etc.)

What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike about this software, it's very good. I have heard my boss say how it is on the more expensive side a few times, but it's becoming an industry standard so there's not much one can do about that.

Train your employees well on this software. It can be easy to get caught up in the details of the refunds/gift card section of the software (because there are lots of options which is awesome) but if you train your employees to know EVERYTHING it should run very smoothly.

Square makes it a lot easier to see sales data/analytics. This is very useful for future product ordering, marketing, creating sales/deals, etc. Also, you can clock in/clock out with an extension of this app so it's easy for the business owner to tall hours.

This software is so efficient especially with jobs. Recently, I began working at a local boba shop that pays through Square Payments. They have ways to manage your payments and to simply transfer your money to your bank directly.

The ease of use, costs, and the ability to have money instantly deposited and available for use by using a linked debit card which contribute to the overall satisfaction with the Square payment processing system. I can't for the life of me figure out any negative aspects for this payment processing system--it just works and works great. Could be less fees when using the Instant transfer options. My only real concern would be security when using my mobile device.

For a reliable and competitive payment processing system with no hassles, no hidden fees, and great customer service, Square cannot be beat! It has tools for tracking expenses as well as income and allows for other useful undertakings, such as email collections and mailings.

Taking payments from customers who do not carry or wish to use cash. This allows payments to be made instantly on site using my phone or other device as well as using with our company mainframe to track collections, spending, customer database and even customer emails.

What do you like best about the product?
It provides an easy way to accept payment via credit cards online and in person. This way I can send an invoice out to a client and have them pay online.

The fees are not that great. Although it is only three percent plus extra depending on the payment type it still cuts into the gross of each business gross profit. If there was a way to make these fees lower that would be of great service to small business owners like myself.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Square is so easy to use that I can hand my POS to a friend who is helping with my business for a day, and not have to go through an entire training session for them to be able to assist me with sales. Deposit speed is awesome, and inventory options are plenty.

There are a few subtle nuances in item creation and inventory modifier sets that are less than intuitive but honestly I have very few complaints about Square.

At times it is a bit complex to calculate the fees applied to each transaction ahead of the payment. Fees are different if the card is swiped in person or if the transaction is processed remotely. I wish this could be easier.

If you don't have yet a method to process credit card payments, go for it. You have nothing to lose and it really can help your business to grow.

What do you like best about the product?
Having used multiple mobile POS payment processing systems, the simplicity and ease of use for square still hasn't been beat. The thing that isn't often praised but much criticized when it is bad is reliability, and this system is reliable. The customer support is also something you won't beat with competing options. Lastly, the software on both mobile and desktop is a seamless experience, cutting training needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
The hardware itself for Square can occasionally act up, and the design of the card readers for mobile phones allow annoying, unhindered spin.

What do you like best about the product?
I'm a fan of Square Cash. It 's my first choice over PayPal and Venmo. I'm a fan of a huge fan of the fact that it takes the money out of your account the second you send it. Just my personal preference for a payment app to do that.

I'm not a fan of having receiving money only on business days. Especially if people always wait until Friday to pay you. There's also sometimes this annoying thing, that I have yet to fix, where if you send or receive money, it says "pending". Leading you to believe that there's some issue. And when you look up what to do, you're told that the person receiving the money has to do something. I know that Square cash does request now, but every time it does that it appears to be a separate issue from the request thing. And I still don't know what to do when this happens. That's when I proceed to use PayPal or Venmo.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it was to get going with the company. Overall, support and legit customer service was average. I loved that I didn't need much to get going, and the square reader was free too. I loved that I didn't have to pay a huge cost for the phone attached card scanner with options to upgrade for very reasonable prices.

What do you dislike about the product?
The underlying fees were out of control, and when it came to the swype for swype cost, out right outrageous. Along side of the over the top fees and inability to use amex unless I paid another additional tax per swype that's higher than the rest, I was also forced to pay an additional fee for this. Outside of the non sense high prices, I found it unfair and completely rude that they didn't mention out right that you would have to link an account that was subject for denial and or complete rejection. This part is where I began unsatisfied with this company. Sure, they will take your cash and process it but getting it back? No simple. The slow turn around on the cash pending was out of the question. I shouldn't have to wait a week to see my funds hit an account that they later rejected and held funds from. This was enough for me to drop the processing all together.
