Meetup is an excellent service for creating a network, making friends and discovering new activities in the City. We can plan a meetup for anything like a Sunday Cricket Match, A book fair, A Coding meetup, A sports game etc.

There is nothing to dislike about Meetup. The only thing that should be improved it its user interface. The website's user interface seems a bit old. Else everything is perfect.

I use Meetup to plan various activities and events for my company. Meetup is a popular platform where people find activities and events, so creating events and meeting like-minded people is straightforward. I also see some meetups in my city and go there to meet different people. Meetup is an excellent platform for the people like me.

Meetup makes it easy to manage a community of people: a straightforward event scheduler that suits both free or paying meetings, a messaging system that allows the manager to contact one of the members, or everyone at the same time, an essential forum, to share discussions within the group.

The interface has been changed and improved, but the platform should have a better forum board. There's no need for advanced features, but a more modern look and feel would be nice to have.

It's a straightforward platform to manage offline and online groups that want to keep a regular schedule of meetings. It has event scheduling tools, messaging tools, contact systems, and a forum board. The board seems a bit old-fashioned to me, but it does its job anyway. I guess it's not the most necessary thing in this type of platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for a WordPress Meetup in my city. When the pandemic began, we couldn't have in-person gatherings anymore, but Meetup continued to be very useful to organize and manage our online events. It has a feature that allows you to insert a link for a video conference. Only people willing to attend the meeting will receive it, and they need to send a positive RSVP, so you, as an organizer, are sure that only the people who have been invited and are part of the group will attend.

This isn't really the fault so much for the platform but I disliked getting traffic to my meetup group. I hosted a popular subject at the time (cryptocurrency) and I was hoping people would find it and join through Meet Up's search, but I ended up having to drive external traffic to the group.

That said, I am not an organizer and maybe I owe the organizers of the groups I am in a multitude of thanks. I had organizing my social events and the organizers do it for me! I'd be a recluse without it! I am in a fitness group, a music group and a volunteer and nature group. Love MeetUp. I haven't really thought that there are someones at a higher level who might be making it difficult for the organizers. I haven't heard that. I am a five star reviewer for the benefit from Meetup that I have received.

In my particular area I love the meet-up groups. It has really broadened my social life and it's a great way to meet people. Of course I'm selective as to which meet- up sites I like. You have to find the people that are compatible with you.

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the concept of Meetup Pro, but I did not think it delivered

What do you dislike about the product?
Useful concept, however the user interface was very hard to use, and it was hard to integrate with other products or get users

surveys/ finding a time and place to hold meetings for remote workers, etc

I love that it's so easy to search and meetup with likeminded people in your region, it's especially good if you've just moved to a place.

A lot of emails and notifications, which aren't the easiest to tailor.
