What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to easily access the platform, and view down the sales order what my comissions are. It also gives me the insights into a predicated payout for the next month which is very insightful for my personal finances. It's also very easy to make a request to our adminstrator and track its progress right in the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if the system had a direct integration into our CRM, Microsoft Dynamics. This would allow the sales order numbers to be live, so that if I had a question about an order, or wanted to see additional insights, I could simply click on the order in CaptivateIQ and view in real time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me to have a central point of reference for commissions data and payouts each month. It eliminates any need to try to track down information regarding my comission payouts and gives me a place to reference throughout each month.

What do you like best about the product?
CaptivateIQ has exceeded my expectations. I have been working with different comp tools during the last 8 years and CIQ is by far the most user friendly and flexible one. Apart from offering transparency to the sales reps, it is also very easy to use from an admin perspective. It has smart features, such as the What-if calculator (that allows the reps to see the potential earnings for future deals), an embedded ticketing system (the Inquiry feature), great customization of commission statements, reports, dashboards, and even allows for the automatic identification of the deals generating true-up balances. What I like the most is that the Support team is really responsive and helpful as compared to other tools on the market (some even more reputable, see Xactly). Also, I appreciate the fact that the CIQ team always strives to improve their product and releases new features that improve the tool. I am totally content with my decision to use CIQ, because once you set it up correctly, it is very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot say that there's something I dislike about the tool. If you are not familiar with the tool then you may find its customized formulas odd, or maybe some features may seem difficult to use (such as Advanced Reporting), but with some training everything makes sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CIQ is a great compensation tool. It offers flexibility in creating and managing commission plans. It allows admins to manage compensation throughout the business cycle from the starting point of routing the sales compensation plans via DocuSign to the sales employees until they earn their commissions and they get paid.

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use. In one short demo/meeting on CaptiveIQ, we were able to navigate the software in order to view and track our monthly commission. It didn't take long to adjust to the software. The UI/UX is simple and easy to use. So far, it's been very accurate and updates daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was an app to access CaptivateIQ vs having to sign in on a web browser.Sometimes the view can take a few minutes to load. Would be a cool feature to add a filter button for the YTD ARR closed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CaptivateIQ is solving the problem of commission tracking. Before CaptivateIQ, we used excel spreadsheets and it was miserable. We also used another software tool but not for very long since it was never accurate. CaptivateIQ has been very reliable and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use when calculating commissions, having managers review commission statements and publishing commission statements for employees to have access to. Our employees have provided us with nothing but great feedback on the look of CaptivateIQ and how easy it is to understand all the commissions paid and the calcultions behind. Our implementation process went smoothly an was extremely thorough and they really spent time making sure we understood every aspect of how plans are calulcated and were very quick to answer any questions we had.
What do you dislike about the product?
We wish there was a manager role that we could assign to managers that we could then utilize the hierarchy groups for without having to process commissions for them or require them to have a license. Reporting is confusing and hard to understand in my option but once the reports are programmed they are easy to maintain. We have several plans that have the same or similar rules and while cloning the plans are nice in the beginning, if we have a formula update in one plan, we wish there was an easy way to apply to all plans withouut going in individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use to manually caluclate all our sales compensation through various excel spreadsheets. The employee would receive them and they were always confusing to the employee. We also had various excel spreadsheets for monthly, quarterly, annual reports for sales compensation that is now being caluclated easier and without the possibilty of human error.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how supportive the CIQ team has been for us, from pre-sales to post-sales implementation. We've also found their Premier Support service to really helpful to troubleshoot any issues we might run into with the platform. The platform has great functionality for managing many commission plans. We have 80+ commission plan participants and at least 9+ different plan types. CIQ has been a great platform to manage the complexity of our calculations, especially because we have true-ups (reconciliations) and other manual adjustments we always need to make.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes CIQ can be confusing to navgiate, but that may be due to our own commission plan complexity. At the time of writing this review, our main commissions person is out on parental leave, so we've had to do some work to understand why certain workbooks were set up a certain way. It's not much of a knock, and we'd likely face similar challenges with any software provider.

CIQ is helping us make our commissions more visible/transparent wiht commission plan participants, as well as with automating a lot of the complexity with doing compensation calculations/payouts.
