It is very good if you are starting with a shop, or your shop is very small. There are lots of options for customization and it is very easy to set up. Also, there are lots of addons to download.

I dislike, that with a starter plan of hosting if you add more than 50 products, the back-office and the online store go really slow. Also, there is no like official support to help you with your problems, only a community.

What do you like best about the product?
Besides being Free, it has an amazing range of modules to enhance your eCommerce storefront. The support that's given by private developers is very quick and helpful. Compared to most alternatives on the market, Prestashop is by far the best option out there, however it does depend in your business or website needs. For pure ecommerce and if you are looking for full features of a standard ecommerce site, Prestashop is your best bet.

Community support from forums is pretty decent however a lot of issues you have won't be easily fixed. You have to have some experience in programming or know someone that can help you there. Since its a free platform to run, you won't get high level of support to fix issues unless you are willing to pay for a developer support package.

Wordpress was a great solution until Prestashop started to gain a lot more modules in their marketplace. It has all the necessary eCommerce functionality built-in compared to WordPress. This was the biggest problem WordPress has, it is not a pure eCommerce platform and has a lot of issues with this, Prestashop fixed this for me. It is also relatively very cheap to run and operate even with buying modules compared to the other alternative, Magento. For me Prestashop shop solves my issues: 1) Cheaper alternative as a pure eCommerce platform to run, and buy modules 2) Has a full set of eCommerce functionality out of the box with no module purchases 3) Easier to setup and install

The only thing I like the absolute most about this site is its easy access. Creating an online shop sounds like a toddler's play on this platform. Community are a huge part of who PrestaShop is. Addons modules have a great number of options. The hook strategy is the better option to build great modules and customization, however there are a lot of places where they need to include hooks, maybe everywhere.

What do you dislike about the product?
They need to improve the api strategies, migrate to a better and modern structure of back/front, integrate quickly the Symfony core and migrate the front to Vue or React. Some missing hooks in strategical places had obligated us to require more time to develop customizations. The core B2B is the worst implementation because was thinking in France or Europe, however PrestaShop has been implemented around the world, then it could be better to allow a full customization, for example allowing dependent fields as Country -> State -> City -> Neighborhood and as the customer require. It's necessary to improve the helpers to allow that, better implementation to build forms and fields, there are a lot of manual work to implement some features.

What do you like best about the product?
As a merchant, I have a love/hate relationship with Prestashop. I’ve been using it for 3+ years across 2 sites…While I think some of the 1-star reviews here are too harsh, I definitely agree that Prestashop is “buggy” when it comes to modules. Modules often conflict with each other and when you contact support there’s an “ownership gap” between Prestashop – The Module Author – Developer/Client. If there’s a problem, generally they all blame each other. But to be fair, there are advantages also. I have found it to be good SEO – I rank better than similar quality competitors on Shopify etc.. I believe this is related to it being a self-hosted solution as opposed to Shopify etc.. where you have less control. Don’t underestimate the value of this to small business – after some basic SEO work, you get a steady stream of free traffic and sales – something you won’t find as easy with hosted solutions. It is also infinitely customizable which is great. Unless you’re a developer, you will need to hire one – but the good news is that that can be found cheaply in places like India via outsourcing platforms. And once you have found one and done the work, it is generally stable and easy to use for day to day transactions. But be prepared you’ll need to spend a bit from time to time on fixing minor bugs, updating modules etc..On balance, I would say I’m not entirely happy with Prestashop, and considering other options. That said – I have not yet found a platform that “ticks all the boxes”. So, for now, I am stuck with Prestashop, but we’ll see. It’s actually a great shame – if they sorted out the bugs it could truly be the best self-hosted solution for SMEs. Though from reading about the management at Prestashop I don’t have great confidence in that

What do you like best about the product?
I like Prestashop since this product offers many ideal capabilities with which I can structure and manage my virtual store to offer items and, through its additional features that have an additional cost, but can be used to improve many aspects of the virtual store.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only disadvantage is that not all the add-ons offered by this tool are free, and that personnel who are trained to make adjustments on the web are required.

Prestashop is a very complete csm with which I can design e-commerce pages, it has a variety of very useful integrations when creating virtual stores, its interface is simple and it allows me to organize from my inventory to my promotions.

This software is not very customizable, in addition the installation is complex, it takes personnel with experience in the area to perform some configurations.

I recommend it because it is a very complete software, it has a control panel with which you can manage everything you want from your website.
