What do you like best about the product?
Kantana has changed how we manage our projects and cost allocations. We appreciate the ability to have all of our projects housed in one holistic software suite and the ability to build and create custom reports that helped identify progress against our KPI's. We also enjoy understanding how our engineers are allocated and identifying opportunities where we are under-allocated or over-allocated and quickly course correct. We get outstanding customer service from our CSM Veronica, who always advocates for us when needed. Their support team is always helpful and is quick to reply to any issues/challenges we experience to help drive quick resolutions!
What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest challenge with Kantana has been the ability to time stamp our allocations so we can look back historically and compare throughout the year to understand changes today vs. what we originally planned. While the resource information is there, not having the histrical marker to compare has presented challenges in explaining variances
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since using Kantana we now have a system that allows us to understand the utilization of our engineers and the projects they are working on. It's helped us answer questions from our executives much faster than we have been able to in the past and mitigate potential staffing issues as a result!

One aspect that could use enhancement is the onboarding process. While the platform offers a range of powerful features, getting started might feel a bit overwhelming for newcomers. Providing more guided tutorials or interactive walkthroughs could greatly assist users in becoming familiar with the platform's capabilities. Another area where I see room for improvement is in the customization options. While Kantata Cloud is versatile, it could offer more flexibility in allowing users to tailor certain aspects to their specific needs. This would add an extra layer of personalization and adaptability to different workflows. Additionally, the speed of certain processes within the platform could be optimized. While overall performance is good, there were instances where tasks seemed to take slightly longer than expected. Improving response times and reducing any lags would enhance the overall user experience. What do you like best about the product?
It's a solid tool that has allowed us to mature our services organization. There is a lot of functionality and very robust reporting. What we find most helpful is the data we can export from the system which we plug into data visualization tools to understand our business. We're a Salesfore heavy organization so we don't find the reporting within Kantata as helpful as others may. The pace of product innovation is great, and many of the new features they've released are quite helpful. We've had a really great experience with our CSM, Griffin, and appreciate how helpful he has been.
What do you dislike about the product?
New features and functionalities require additional license cost as well as additional services fees, and our experience with the services team in those engagements has not always been the best. The Mavenlink --> Salesforce integration feels like it's an afterthought, and there's a lot of data that we can't pass back to Salesforce which requires us to access data in multiple different systems. There are certainly product kinks, though I'm sure you'd get that with any solution. I wish we had the ability to automate the reminders of timesheets and ensure better compliance around logging 40 hours per week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resource automation, project management, project health tracking, utilization reporting, project health & risk management. Mavenlink has allowed us to build a framework to manage our Professional services team.

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up new projects is quick and requires little effort. Resource planning and scheduling is user-friendly and visually well-presented. Recent updates have improved the task tracker and being able to copy and paste is a big step forward. The configuration option for the task tracker screen is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still some areas in which the UX can be improved. Examples include date entries on some screens where the finish date should automatically default to the start date and the rate cards screen which can't be sorted by name nor filtered by date created or role (neither appear on the list).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kantata provides easy and consistent visibility of our team's scheduling and utilization, which enables us to plan better and optimize our use of resources. The dynamic reporting makes it very easy to deep-dive into any issues and our month-end procedures are much more efficient.
